CHURCH SCHOOL CHALKBOARD


WELCOME BACK!
It’s September and we are looking forward to another fun and enriching Church School year! We are blessed to have a wonderful staff to lead us into this exciting 2008-2009 faith education journey. A huge thanks to these generous and gifted volunteers.

Here are some details you might like to make a note of:

*Sunday, Sept. 14th:
- The Staff Orientation Breakfast/Child Protection Workshop will take place at from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- The commissioning of the Church School staff will take place at the 10:45 a.m. service. All staff volunteers are urged to attend.

*Sunday, Sept. 21st:
- Our Church School program will begin! The Church School hour will run from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Our curriculum/schedule is posted on the Church School bulletin board down the hallway from Fellowship Hall.
- Please remember to bring in your child’s $5.00 snack money contribution for children in the PreK – Grade 5 classes and deliver it to Melissa Shaughnessy in Fellowship Hall on Sept. 23rd. Thanks!

*Registration Forms:
- You should have received Church School Registration Forms in the mail.
If you have not yet done so, please complete and return yours as soon as possible to: Suzy Rishel, 2680 Windmill Drive, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
You may also deliver it or mail it directly to the church office. Thank you very much!
We are excited to again be using a new strand of the Cornerstones Curriculum,
“The Messiah”, which focuses on the 23rd Psalm, the Holy Spirit, David, The Fulfillment of the Prophecy, Isaiah, and Jesus’ Baptism.

We hope that you have all had a relaxing summer we look forward to seeing you soon!
